As we all prepare for the new school year, now is the perfect time to schedule your child's required health appointments if you haven't already!

✅ Immunizations 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 be completed 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟰 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, as required by child care licensing.

✅ If your child will not receive one or more required immunizations, Colorado law requires that a current Medical or Nonmedical Certificate of Exemption be on file. Families choosing a nonmedical exemption 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 complete Colorado's exemption process and submit the required documentation according to state requirements (within the same 14 day time frame as above)

✅ Physical and dental examinations 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 be completed 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝟯𝟬 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

If you are wondering who is the one going around in Del Norte during the day knocking on doors, it is a university student from Ukraine. She is doing a summer exchange program selling educational books and apps for families from young toddler all the way to college prep.

This is Anastasiia's 1st week in Del Norte, so if you see her, don't be shy to tell hi to her. SHE DOES NOT REPRESENT OR IS AFFILIATED with any of the schools. Anastasiia is legit and has a solidity permission in the town. She is driving a black Mazda SUV with NM state plates. If you have any issues or questions, please contact the Del Norte Police Department.

Award winning ventriloquist, Meghan Casey, brings her talents and all her puppet friends back to Cole Park for a special summer show!

Meghan and Aidan have REALLY done it this time… apparently a normal jungle hike was just too boring. After stumbling across an abandoned prehistoric-looking science lab, Aidan finds a pencil labeled “DO NOT USE.” So naturally… he uses it. One innocent Pterodactyl drawing and a machine startup later — BOOM!— Terry the Pterodactyl bursts out, flapping, squawking, and declaring that anyone who isn’t a dinosaur MUST leave the island! Now Meghan and Aidan must outsmart their own flying mistake before this Pterodactyl handles the situation his way. Think you can help? Good. Because they are absolutely not qualified to handle this alone…

As a rural preschool program, strong community partnerships mean everything to us. Each week, Thank You Thursday will spotlight the local businesses who consistently and generously support our children, families, and mission. These partnerships help strengthen our community and enrich the experiences we provide to our students and families.

This week, we are honored to recognize muralists ✨Roger and Augustina Briones🎨🏔️

Last year, Roger and Augustina generously dedicated a significant portion of their summer to volunteering their time and talents to create one of the most treasured features of our new facility, our beautiful Sangre De Cristos library mural🗻🖼️!

With incredible skill and attention to detail, they perfectly captured the beauty of our San Luis Valley home through the radiant silhouette of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, illuminated by the moon and North Star 🌙⭐. Their artwork not only transformed a wall, but also created a space that inspires imagination, curiosity, and a sense of pride for the children, families, and community friends who visit our library!

It has been nearly a year since the mural was completed, and we still find ourselves admiring its beauty and the sense of wonder it brings to our center. What makes this feature even more special is knowing it was created through the generosity, dedication, and community spirit of Roger and Augustina!

Their mural is a daily reminder of the place we call home and the incredible people who make our community so special 💛🏔️.

Thank you, Roger and Augustina, for sharing your time, creativity, and talents with our program. We cannot express our gratitude enough for this lasting gift. We are so grateful to have such a meaningful piece of art to admire each and every day! 🎨✨
