Today Mrs.Haines' class did a science experiment to learn about sound & vibration!

Students placed rubber bands on the top of the cups. When they pulled the band up and let go, they could feel the vibration & hear the sound that came from it. Something so simple was exciting to observe. 🔊👂🏼

We're excited to celebrate our Students of the Week for 08/24/26-08/28/26. 🥳 Please help us congratulate these students and their spectacular behavior!!

⭐️Upper Grades (3-5)
Isaac was nominated for Student of the Week by Mrs. Emanuel. Since beginning 5th grade, Isaac has been a role model for his peers by regularly practicing the Mustang Mighty 5. He has also been an influential member of our morning leadership team, setting the standard for even our tiniest Mustangs to follow. We are so proud of his growth and hard work!

Lower grades (PK-2)
⭐️ Major was nominated for Student of the Week by Ms. Watson. After getting a new student in his classroom, Major noticed she was feeling a bit nervous. He went and gave her a hug and welcomed her to their class. On the way to lunch, another friend fell on the blacktop and it scared her. He made sure she was ok and held her hand until they got back inside. Major’s empathetic heart has already made a big difference for his new friends! We are so proud of his kindness and willingness to help others.

Lower grades (PK-2)
⭐️Leilani was nominated for Student of the Week by Ms. Schmidt. Leilani has done a STELLAR job since the start of school with following procedures. She never has to be reminded what to do and is a great representation of our Mustang expectations! Leilani is a great friend and a helpful classmate. We are so proud of her!

We're starting something new this year, and we need your help to celebrate! 🎉

Each week, we'll select a student from upper grades(3-5) and lower grades(PK-2) who were caught by teachers going above and beyond what is expected. These students were nominated by a staff member and carefully selected for their great work. These Mustangs have been exemplary examples of our Mustang Mighty 5 and we are so proud to share their celebration with you. For the week of 08/17-08/21, please help us congratulate..

(Upper grades)
Melanny was nominated by Mrs. Parker for Student of the Week. She is always engaged with the lesson and participates in class. Melanny is a great representation of the Mustang Mighty 5 and is always respectful to her peers. We are so proud of her!💚

(Lower grades)
Na'lani was nominated by Mrs. Cranfill for Student of the Week. She always does the right thing, even without being asked. She demonstrates responsibility by picking up trash whenever she sees it on the floor and takes great pride in her school. She lends a helping hand to both her teacher and classmates whenever she can. We are thankful for her great attitude!💛

Independence Day is coming to Mid-Del!

Tomorrow, Friday, August 21, is the LAST DAY parents and guardians may walk their elementary students to class.

Then, on Monday, August 24, Independence Day begins! Our students will take a big step by walking to their classrooms independently, building confidence and responsibility along the way.

Don’t worry, our amazing staff will be throughout the building ready to welcome, supervise, and help students every step of the way.

We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with our students! Thank you, families, for helping us encourage confident, independent learners.
