Please welcome our newest music educator to Walton County!

Naomi Gomillion is a second-generation music teacher from Perry, Florida, who graduated from Taylor County High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Baptist University of Florida. While a student, Naomi was the principal trumpet of the university jazz band and brass choir. She is a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, serving as a vocalist on the worship team. Naomi is married to Grady Gomillion, the band director at Walton High School. Mrs. Gomillion is passionate about music education and excited to serve with the incredible educators and staff at Freeport Middle School.

We're offering a generous $600 to our first-place winner and $400 to our second-place winner. Think of the impact this prize money could have on purchasing essential school supplies for the upcoming academic year!

The Arts are alive and well in the Walton County School District! 🎵In January, 11 students from across the district participated in All-State at the Florida Music Educators Association conference held in Tampa. Congratulations to these young people on their hard work, their artistry, and their dedication. Thank you to the dedicated and talented music educators in the District for your commitment to your students and your craft. 🎵
