Mrs. O is teaching the 2nd graders the story of creation by making playdoh.
God is the wonderful Creator of everything we see around us. He created the beautiful world, the sky, the animals, the plants, and each one of us with love. When we make homemade playdoh, we can think about how God gives us the creativity and imagination to make something special from simple ingredients. Just as God carefully created everything in the world, we can use our hands and creativity to shape the playdoh into different colors, animals, flowers, or anything we can imagine. Making playdoh reminds us to be thankful for God’s amazing gift of creation and for the ability to create and enjoy things together.
