The kids loved singing the Johnny Appleseed song!

We’ve been busy in 2nd grade! We had a visit from Johnny Appleseed, gained a sweet new classmate, celebrated Ella’s adoption, a few cuties cheered at the football game for mini-cheer, HOCO spirit week, and the Day of Awesomeness!

We had a great time visiting the Noble fire station yesterday and learning all about emergency services. The kids had a blast exploring the police cars and fire trucks!

Today, we celebrated Able’s birthday and a couple sweet girls brought in books to read to the class. Scarlett’s book was written by her grandma, which is pretty awesome! It even comes with a play set so kids can act out the story! Amarey shared the most darling book with the class as well. Both girls did an amazing job reading! We’ve also been practicing our centers routines and partner reading together. We’re off to an amazing start!

Happy Friday, Bulldogs! We made it through the first 3 days, and WOW, this is a class full of amazing kiddos! We spent the afternoon getting to know one another better by sharing our show and tell bags. The kids were so kind and respectful, and loved sharing their treasures with the class. On Monday, we’ll finally start getting into our normal routines, and I’m so excited to see what this year will bring!

Today was the 2nd day of Second Grade, so OF COURSE we had to take cute pics! Shoutout to Mrs. Renollet for making the cute frame!

We had the most amazing first day of second grade! We can’t wait to come back and do it all again tomorrow!

I have a big, exciting announcement to make! After 15 years of teaching 1st Grade, I decided it was time for a change. Beginning next school year, I'll be teaching 2nd Grade at DES! 😍 You can find me in room 209 (exactly where my 1st grade room was, but in the 2nd grade hallway). I can't wait for this new adventure and to meet my new students at open house on Monday, August 17th!!!
