Congrats to 8th grader Jake P on his thrilling overtime win tonight at the Illinois Elementary School Association State Finals at NIU, capping four wins in two days!

We marched Jake and Logan out in style this afternoon to compete in the IESA State Wrestling Competition! We're so proud of your hard work this season. Good luck at state! 🤼‍♂️🥇🏆

Do we have some future journalists in our midst🧐 After yesterday's guest speaker, we think so! A big thank you to NBC Chicago for visiting our CMA class yesterday afternoon. Our students got a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to report the news, from fact-checking every detail to making sure all sides of the story are told. They even got to see the equipment in action! 🤩🎥🎬

It's not the end of an era, just a season🥹🏐 The girls' volleyball team finished this season with an intense game against their parents! The final match had the added fun of a giant inflatable volleyball and all hands on the court!😆We are so proud of these ladies and their accomplishments this season.

🏃‍♂️🎉 Huge congratulations to Chris and Johnny for qualifying for the IESA State Meet! 👏🎉 Special shoutout to Chris for taking 1st at sectionals with an incredible PR of 10:18.8, and to Johnny for crushing it with a PR of 11:55.7, finishing 17th! 💪🏅 We're so proud of their hard work and dedication—let's cheer them on as they head to state! This week, students made putty and debated whether it was solid or liquid. The verdict’s still out! 🤔

They also became forensic scientists 🕵️‍♀️ solving a stolen coin mystery by exploring states of matter and mixing metals. Exciting discoveries ahead! ⚗️
