Health and wellness are human rights for all people, including Black People.
The Black History Month 2022 theme, “Black Health and Wellness,” explores "the legacy of not only Black scholars and medical practitioners in Western medicine, but also other ways of knowing (e.g., birth workers, doulas, midwives, naturopaths, herbalists, etc.) throughout the African Diaspora. The 2022 theme considers activities, rituals, and initiatives that Black communities have done to be well." -Copied from https://asalh.org/black-history-themes/

It's Christmas Eve, friends ✨This article from Tasha Jun - Writer for the Asian American Christian Collaborative - AACC reminds us that Jesus had a specific skin tone, ethnicity and cultural background. And so do we. God designed every part of us so specifically, intentionally and beautifully. May you and your families know God's love, peace, hope and joy in new ways this Christmas in the middle of grief, sorrow, laughter, wherever you're at. ❤️

This is Voting rights activist Gertrude Simmons Bonnin (Zitkala-Sa) of the Yankton Sioux Nation was prominent in the women's suffrage community.
It's the day before Election Day, and we want to acknowledge the 100th year anniversary of the 19th ammendment. This was a “start, not a finish” to women demanding and receiving the right to vote. Black, Indigenous, and other Women of Color have been kept from voting throughout history even thought they partnered with white women for the sufftrage movement.
We lament that this is a part of our share histroy and honor the BIPOC women who fought against and still fight today against the sins of both sexism and racism. More info on the 19th amendment and how it intersects wiith gender and race can be found on on our link tree in our bio.

This month, we commemorate Native American Heritage Month. We honor our sisters and brothers who are a part of many distinct cultural groups representing the Indigenous population in the U.S.A.
We acknowledge and lament the injustice done to our family members today and throughout our history and invite our community to learn in deeper ways.
Our Native American sisters and brothers are beautiful and resilient. We invite you to settle in and learn with us.
