Thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday. Loved seeing old friends from elementary school, high school, college, work and from all the cities I have lived in sending a note. Means a lot to me. We had a great family day of golf ( couple of birdies for the birthday guy) and a special dinner to celebrate. Was a great day and appreciate all of you who sent me a message. Have a good Sunday!

The Class of 82 is sad to report that we lost another classmate this past week. Rob Bridges passed away suddenly last week.
All of his Class of 82 brothers send our love and prayers to his wife Kelly and their family.

RIP Rob.

The search is over for a missing father from Vero Beach, Florida, according to authorities.

Another great classmate has passed away. Andy Bohman was an awesome friend, classmate and one of our brothers.
He will be sadly missed. Andy was a great golfer and when I had a home there, we always would get together for a round at Eastward Ho and reminisce about our days at Deerfield.
More information to come about the celebration for his life that will happen in a few months.
All of the Great Class of 1982 can raise a glass for Andy at our 40th reunion this summer, June 10-12th. Don’t miss it.

Beautiful Fall day at DA!! 35th Reunion coming up fast. So is Choate Weekend. Nov 14 is the big day where Deerfield will crush the Choaties in all sports. Yeah Rah Rah Deerfield. Let us know if you are planning to be there for the weekend.

I'm very sad to report that one of our classmates has passed away. Chris Simmons aka...Sumo, passed away in his sleep on October 3 in Alexandria, VA. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and children.

Sumo was an awesome lacrosse player and outstanding football player. He will be remembered for his intense competitive spirit. He hated to lose, especially to Choate.

RIP Sumo.......

Wish this day had not come but a big ya ra ra for the Morsmans .... received this from Margarita this morning ...
"With the exception of Mr. and Mrs. Boyden, no couple has served Deerfield longer or with greater loyalty than Jay '55 and Mimi Morsman P'89. June 2013 will mark the end of an era, when the Morsmans retire after more than half a century at the Academy.

From teaching and coaching to dorm duty and event planning, Jay and Mimi have touched the lives of countless students, parents, and alumni. We are currently collecting stories to create a book of memories for the Morsmans.

Classmates,

Please keep Mike Flynn in your prayers. He developed an infection on his mitral heart valve, and in surgery to repair it, revealed a seizure disorder which has been difficult to treat.
