The Deerfield Beach facility will be closed to the general public on Monday, February 8th, from 9:30 am - 12 pm as the Detroit Red Wings will be training in our facility during that time period. Mike Barwis is the current Director of Sports Science and Human Performance for the Detroit Red Wings and will be training with the team.
Due to the COVID safety regulation of the NHL, we cannot allow anyone in the facility from 9:30 am - 12 pm. All facility activities will resume at noon.

It's been a tumultuous, unpredictable year, but there's still so much to be grateful for! Generous corporate donors and public support enabled the First Step Foundation to distribute over $20,000 in Neurological Reengineering training scholarships to individuals with spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders who are tireless fighters in the face of incredible odds and rapidly depleting resources (especially during a pandemic); they are working relentlessly each day for simple movements most take for granted, like brushing one's teeth and getting dressed. Thank YOU for making their recovery efforts possible! It's because of you the First Step Foundation has now been able to provide over $370,000 in scholarships to date.
