It is with a heavy heart that I share that yesterday was my last day serving as your Post Secondary Success Advisor at Deer Park High School.

Over the years, it has truly been an honor to support and guide such an incredible group of students as you planned for your futures beyond high school. Whether it was college applications, career plans, scholarships, military pathways, or simply figuring out your next steps, I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to be part of your journey.

Each of you has inspired me in different ways through your resilience, determination, kindness, and growth. Watching you chase your goals and celebrate your accomplishments has been one of the greatest joys of my career. I will always carry the memories, conversations, and connections I’ve made at Deer Park with me.

While I may be leaving this role, my passion for helping students achieve their post-secondary dreams will always continue. Please know that I believe in every single one of you and all that you are capable of accomplishing anything that you set your mind on.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your story. I will always be cheering you on from afar, Ms. Collins.

And...our Weatherman delivered! Thank you, Mr. Bridges. ❤️

Here’s a sweet story one of our DPISD employees sent us:

“Glenn Bridges was a longtime substitute teacher at Deer Park High School who sadly passed away in 2025. He truly cared about the students he served. Known affectionately as ‘The Weatherman,’ he wasn’t just passionate about weather, he loved sharing that passion with others. He and my daughter, Landry formed a special bond through their conversations about storms, weather changes, and everything in between.

This time last year, on May 22, 2025, Mr. Bridges sent an email reflecting on the future. He talked about how incredible it would be for her to begin her senior year - her last ‘first day’ of high school and how quickly graduation would arrive. He even mentioned that the school year would end a day earlier, on May 21, and said he was already praying for beautiful weather on graduation day for the Class of 2026.”

GRADUATION HAPPENS IN SEVEN DAYS!
If you plan on cheering on your graduate, don’t forget that Deer Park ISD has implemented a Clear Bag Policy.
This policy applies to all events held at district facilities, including football, softball, baseball, basketball, soccer, high school graduation, and other district activities. The goal is to enhance safety and speed up entry for all guests.
Please note that all bags are subject to inspection. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for entry. Any non-compliant bags will need to be returned to your vehicle before entering the event.
