ELC continues to offer supplemental programming. We started our January Artist study today Each Monday in March we will be learning about a different artist and completing projects that resemble pieces of their work. Of course, we also have some time for exploration, conversation and outside play. Contact me if you want to learn more about joining in with us. We have room for 2-4 more.

Good morning! I am collecting Valentine themed paper, ribbon, doilies, and stickers to the Island Community Center's Valentine's for Seniors kits. What a beautiful day to spend outside learning with students. ELC Enrich met today to learn about beavers and decide if they were friends or foe. We've decided that they are very much our friends. Students learned basic facts about the beaver, their amazing adaptations, practiced building a dam and played predator tag (beaver style). One of our students brought us a porcupine tooth...guess what, its so similar to the beavers teeth and its the 2nd largest rodent in North America After lunch we went on a family hike to look for signs of beavers at the Lily Pond.
