Big news! Dedham School of Music has been awarded a grant from the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, through its Cultural Investment Portfolio Program!
This support helps us continue offering music lessons, ensemble programs, and community concerts to students and families throughout Dedham and the surrounding area. Each year, our programs serve hundreds of students of all ages and skill levels, and this grant helps leverage the private tuition and donor support that keeps our programs accessible to the community.
For this fiscal year, Mass Cultural Council has adopted a $34 million spending plan, enabling the agency to award at least 2,200 grants totaling approximately $26.2 million to arts, humanities, and science organizations across Massachusetts. This funding comes primarily from public dollars — including the agency's $26.9 million state budget appropriation and support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
Mass Cultural Council funds reach every community in the Commonwealth, advancing the state's creative and cultural sector by celebrating local traditions and talents and investing public resources equitably. 🎶
