Welcome, Riverside High School's Assistant Principal, Mr. Jeff Jones!

Decatur County Schools is excited to announce Mr. Jeff Jones as the new Assistant Principal at Riverside High School for the 2026–2027 school year!

A proud graduate of Riverside High School, Mr. Jones earned his Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Tennessee at Martin and later received his Master's Degree in Education from Bethel University.

Jeff has dedicated 16 years to serving the students of Decatur County Schools, including the last six years at Riverside High School. His passion for education, leadership, and building relationships has made him a respected member of the Panther family.

Jeff and his wife, Greta, have been married for 14 years. Together they are the proud parents of Kyra, Chad, and Levi.

Mr. Jones shared his excitement about his new role:

"I am a graduate of Riverside High School, where I received my Bachelor's in Education at UT Martin and later received my Master's in Education at Bethel University. I have been blessed to teach for 16 years in Decatur County and the last 6 years at Riverside High School. It is a blessing to be given the opportunity to help lead Riverside in this capacity. I am most excited about working with our awesome students, teachers, parents, and community in this new role and hope to have a positive impact in doing so."

Riverside High School Principal, Mrs. Amanda Keeton, shared:

"Jeff has a genuine heart for students and a passion for Riverside High School that is evident in everything he does. He is a respected leader who builds strong relationships, leads with integrity, and is committed to helping every student succeed. I am excited to have him serving alongside me as we continue building on Riverside's tradition of excellence."

Assistant Principal, Mr. Alex Whitwell, added:

"I've had the privilege of working alongside Jeff and have seen firsthand his dedication to our students, staff, and school community. He is dependable, thoughtful, and always willing to step up wherever he's needed. Jeff brings a positive attitude to every situation, and I know he will make an outstanding assistant principal."
