ROE #39 recently hosted AA #4257: Tracking Attendance Challenges - Strategies for Prevention & Intervention with Chronic Absenteeism, developed by ROE #39 in collaboration with Safe & Civil Schools.
We were excited to welcome Jessica Sprick, nationally recognized attendance specialist and author, from Eugene, Oregon, to lead the day!
Our participants included principals, counselors, attendance specialists, social workers, student liaisons, SEL coaches, and behavior specialists from our Macon and Piatt County districts, as well as educators from outside the ROE #39 region. Together, they explored practical strategies for identifying attendance barriers, supporting students and families, and improving consistent student attendance while networking and sharing ideas with colleagues from across Central Illinois.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a great day of learning and collaboration!
