Millikin University Homecoming 2026 was a special one! It's one of my favorite times of the year, allowing the entire Big Blue family to reconnect, celebrate all things Millikin, and create new MU memories to treasure, together.

Thank you to our students, alumni, faculty, staff, and fellow community members for joining us in being Forever Blue this Homecoming. Cheers to 125 years of Millikin. Ⓜ️

It was a pleasure to welcome an international delegation to Millikin University in partnership with the Illinois Economic Development Corporation and the Chicago International Trade Commissioners’ Association.

We were honored to host representatives from Brazil, Lithuania, Wallonia, Mongolia, Denmark, Malaysia, Austria, and France, and to share our campus and our community with leaders from around the world.

Visits like these create meaningful opportunities to build relationships, exchange ideas, and strengthen connections between Illinois and the global community. I’m grateful to our partners for bringing this group to Millikin and to everyone who helped make their visit possible!

📣🥫Big Blue family, it’s time to make it count! The WSOY Community Food Drive is THIS Friday, Oct. 2, and President Pribbenow is here to cheer us on.

We have collected just under $5,000 in food/financial donations, putting us around 60% of our goal of $8️⃣,1️⃣2️⃣5️⃣. This is our chance to finish strong — together. Ⓜ️

Every pound of food/dollar donated helps families who are facing food insecurity. ⤵️

We were thrilled to welcome Dr. Juanita Morris, Coordinator of the Jerry J. Dawson Civic Leadership Institute (DCLI); Gussie Reed, a longtime community leader with decades of experience in the energy industry; and Eternity Jeffro, Program Navigator at DCLI, to Millikin for a tour and conversation about the Millikin Market.

The energy, ideas, and shared commitment to partnership, purpose, and meaningful programming made for an exciting conversation about how we can work together to serve our community.

We look forward to strengthening the connection between Millikin and DCLI and finding new ways to support the important work of both DCLI and the Millikin Market—creating opportunities, meeting needs, and making a difference for individuals and families throughout our community.

Great things happen when community partners come together with a shared purpose.

Reflecting on a fantastic Welcome Week here at the Big Blue! I'm so grateful to have participated in my second MU New Student Welcome Week.

Not only did I get to connect with new students at various events throughout last week, but I also had the opportunity to give back to communities around the world at the annual ADM/Millikin Day of Service — one of my favorite Welcome Week traditions.

I hope the Big Blue community had a great first week of classes. Here's to making it another remarkable year at Millikin!
