A New Pathway for ECCC Students!

East Central Community College and William Carey University are making it easier for ECCC graduates to take their next step toward a bachelor’s degree.

ECCC President Dr. Brent Gregory and William Carey University President Dr. Ben Burnett recently signed a Community College Transfer Agreement on the ECCC campus, establishing a collaborative pathway designed to help students successfully transition from ECCC to William Carey.

Highlights of the agreement:

➡️ ECCC students will have access to transfer recruitment and advising opportunities.

➡️ William Carey will work with ECCC advisors to help students understand degree requirements and make a smooth transition.

➡️ Students can explore online, hybrid and face-to-face course options.

➡️ Transfer scholarship and financial aid information will be available, including scholarships beginning at a 2.5 GPA.

➡️ The agreement includes pathways for students transferring credits, including eligible Career Technical Education hours. to pursue bachelor’s degrees at William Carey.

Most importantly, this partnership puts students first, creating another opportunity for ECCC Warriors to continue their education and reach their goals.

While we’ve rightfully celebrated our historic first Accelerated ADN class, let’s not forget that our LPN graduates are a continuation of East Central’s nursing legacy. First day of school vibes are officially here! 🖤💛

What an absolute whirlwind of a Welcome Week! Before classes even officially kicked off today, we packed the last few days with non-stop energy, campus traditions, and making memories.

Move-In Day, Picnic with the President, Campus Scavenger Hunt, Ice Cream Social, and the Rolling Bean Coffee Truck are just a few of events for students all before class began today!

The energy you brought to these events = 👨‍🍳💋
