Richland Community College will maintain official social media sites to support the College in accomplishing its mission and vision, achieving its goals and objectives, and advancing the College’s Core Values. The President or designees shall be responsible for disseminating public information about the College through the use of official College sponsored social media. Richland Community College encourages feedback and comments from our followers, which include prospective students, current students, alumni, staff and members of the community. We remain committed to maintaining these sites as a safe and family-friendly forum for sharing information. We are almost one week out from Cars & Coffee - which will be hosted at the Workforce Development Institute on Richland's campus!

The event will be on Saturday, August 29, from 8 AM - 11 AM. Pick up free donuts and coffee while you enjoy looking at some amazing cars, trucks, and motorcycles. There is no cost, and you can bring anything on wheels.

This is a fundraiser where donations are welcome. Proceeds support the sixth annual Operation Obstacle: The Race to End Veteran Su***de, which will be held on September 19, 2026.

No better time to get involved on campus than during your first week!

Student Engagement held our Involvement Fair in the core today - featuring clubs and organizations that cover everyone’s interests (gaming, creative writing, environmentalism, and more). It also had services from across campus like tutoring, accommodations, financial aid and scholarships, technical support, the library, and fitness center.

We are excited to welcome a great lineup of local vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, plants, handmade products, and more. Wednesday, August 19th, from 3:00–7:00 PM at the Michael D. Andreas Agriculture Building on the Richland Community College campus. Vendors will be located both inside and outside the building, we'll be open rain or shine.

While you're at the Farmers Market next Wednesday, take the opportunity to learn more/ask your own questions about urban gardening!

Tours of Richland's Urban Garden Project will be offered on the half hour and as requested. Dave Shiley, Outreach Coordinator for Agricultural Programs, will share info and answer your questions about:
- Square foot gardening
- Grow bag production of Ginger
- Vertical gardening
- Composting techniques
- Drip irrigation system
- When to harvest and produce food safety
- W**d, insect and disease management

The Farmers Market will go from 3 PM - 7 PM on August 19th at Richland's Michael D. Andreas Agriculture Building. Don't miss this chance to ask all of your gardening questions!
