✌🏻 Over the last few weeks, all of SAND participated in Peace Month at NDUMC with several peace projects. These projects were mostly water themed with inspiration from the song “Peace Like a River.”
🐠 Each class contributed to the river banner. As the kids listened to the song, they rolled paint to create flowing water. It feels so peaceful . The next day, we added fish and other creatures to live in the water, either by drawing them or making them. It was so much fun!
💦 The 2’s class created “peace in a bottle”. They use these bottles by shaking them up, then taking deep breaths as they watch the glitter settle, to help bring peace and calm into their busy bodies.
🕊️ As a continuation of the Peace Project, the Pre-K children made beautiful birds, and the 3-year-old class wrote messages and placed them in envelopes. These peace birds will carry our heartfelt messages and spread peace all around the world! ☮️

HUGE thanks to all the families that came out for our first campus workday of the year! It was the best turnout we have ever had, and we were able to get so much accomplished! We truly appreciate all of our amazing SAND families.

Our Plant Sale is almost here! We have a great inventory of native plants and a variety of unique plants including Wood Iris, Cut Leaf Coneflower, large Azaleas and Strawberry baskets! We are still accepting plant donations from local gardens. Please email us at [email protected] if you have plants to donate!

SAND is having their annual plant sale on Saturday, April 26 from 10am - 12 noon. Shop for a variety of plants from our school garden as well as shared transplants from the local community.
If you have plants to donate please label them and place them by the red shed in the back parking lot any day before April 23. Visit www.sandpreschool.org for more information or email us at [email protected] if you need assistance with transplants. Thank you for supporting SAND!
