This week's horse is Ruegar
Age: 10
Height: 15.1
Beautiful, sweet, spunky Ruegar was purchased from a man who lived not far from me.
He is a horse that doesn't want to do what he doesn't want to do, and will let you know about it.
At the same time, when humans are around, he is always right there. If given a chance, he'd follow you inside and never let you get far from him. I can honesty say, I have rarely met such a loving horse. My Jade is going blind and this boy is her eyes. He stays by her side almost always and keeps her calm. ❤️

Petunia loving her day. Lol!

You'll keep hearing me say it about these BRILLIANT beasts! "The year of the horse"! Lol!

Miss Jen Peek suggested doing this so everyone could better know all the horses and I love the idea so here we go. One horse per week. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask....

This beautiful boy is Rio
Nickname: Rio Grande
Name when purchased: Oreo
Age: 22
Height: 14.3
Rio came on board with SSRS around 2010.
At that time he was a young, full of himself, largely untrained, ornery gelding. He'd run through the bit constantly. He thinks he's great at running barrels, while what he really does is run all over the arena. 🤣The previous owner tried to disuade me from buying him. I'm forever glad i didn't listen to her. He's raised and taught literally hundreds of riders and to this day is loved by everyone who meets him.
