Ellsworth Dansby Jr. Magnet School The Academy’s foremost purpose is to provide a broad STEM focus that will place a strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math.

American Dreamer STEM Academy (Grades K-8) has been designed to foster those qualities in a child that will provide him/her with the life skills that will lead to success. Every child is exposed to art that will allow creative self expression. District curricula are followed; however, supplementary materials and innovative practices are encouraged. Another strong feature of American Dreamer STEM A

cademy is the positive environment designed to promote feelings of self-worth and self-confidence in each child. There is a daily emphasis on manners that encourage respect and consideration of others. Cooperative learning is taught and practiced daily so that each child has a sense of belonging. The Academy adheres to a uniform dress code. The uniform dress code fosters equality in all students at any age. To create a successful atmosphere for progressive learning, commitment to the American Dreamer STEM Academy guidelines is required by parents, students and staff.

On Tuesdays, our students can participate in "Top Flight Tuesdays."

Students are allowed to wear a spirit wear shirt with their khaki bottoms. Petals, a local shop located at Hickory Point Mall, has partnered with us to offer great spirit wear options. You can order using the link below.

We will have more options throughout the year.

House shirts are for Fridays only.

Two of our favorite programs are back!

We've once again partnered with Millikin University to bring you ChemGirls and ChemKids, two hands-on learning experiences for kids in 5th - 8th grade. Both programs include two one-day camps, with the second one being held in a real chemistry lab at Millikin!
