Not all pain and injuries are visible. Living years with unexplained chronic pain and just writing it off as ‘part of being tall’, only to slowly realize the pain Ive felt was not normal amongst everyone else. Re-wiring my brain and body to move in a healthy and productive manner has been hard. One step forward, five steps back. Good days followed by days so full of pain I can hardly move. But, even in the depths of this, I’m trusting God that he knows my pain and my body far better than I do, and that He never wastes anything, even our trials. Just another chapter in my testimony. 🙌🏼

Being a fitness professional is a hard business to be in sometimes. Everyone expects you to be on your A game at all times, and even without realizing it, place your physical looks on a pedestal.
Coming back after 6 months of no exercise has been such a trial and error situation. Getting diagnosed with hEDS over the summer and finding out about a herniated disc being the cause of some intense pain, I’m starting over in my own fitness journey. Constantly having to remind myself that this is better in the long run for my body, but honestly struggling some days with my body feeling like a stranger and being incapable of things I think I should be able to achieve.

Pregnancy and postpartum is no small feat. Mentally, emotionally, and even physically. Finding the right care & support for all aspects is super important, and unfortunately I feel like the physical aspect is often put to the backburner.
Living with incontinence, back pain, heaviness, etc may be considered ‘common’, but common doesn’t equal normal.

Getting training in how to strengthen your pelvic floor can make a world of a difference! It’s never too late to get started. 🫶🏼💪🏼🏋🏼‍♀️
