🧈✨ From Cream to Butter! ✨🧈

Mrs. Chapman’s 2nd graders had a butter time learning by doing! 🥛➡️🧈

Today, students made their own butter from cream! They shook, mixed, observed, and watched as the cream transformed into delicious homemade butter. Along the way, they practiced patience, teamwork, and made some pretty exciting observations about how matter can change! 🔬👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

There’s nothing quite like hands-on learning—especially when you get to taste the results! 😋🧈

🍔🌭 Faculty Cookout Fun! 🌭🍔

Our Benjamin Davis faculty enjoyed a wonderful duty-free lunch thanks to our amazing Partners in Education River Bank & Trust! 💙💛

Mrs. Payne and Mrs. King had the privilege of being with the students during lunch today, and Miss Kamzie Fletcher received the BUG award! She displayed wonderful behavior in the lunch room and was so patient and kind to her classmates!

🌎🎉 Hispanic Heritage Celebration! 🎉🌎

Today we celebrated the rich cultures, traditions, and heritage of Hispanic and Latino communities!

Our students enjoyed a Parade of Nations, proudly showcasing countries and cultures from across the Hispanic world. The celebration continued with piñata fun in PE 🪅 and a special assembly where students came together to learn, celebrate, and appreciate the traditions that make our world so wonderfully diverse.

We loved seeing our students learn beyond the classroom and celebrate the many cultures that make our school community so special!
