Macon County 4-H Macon County 4-H is for youth and volunteers who want to Make the Best Better in Macon County, Ill. What's the point of 4-H?

Great kids are those that exemplify the four H’s, and our mission is to make that happen! HEAD—Make sound decisions, set goals and stick with them until they are achieved, and have practical skills needed to lead a productive, fulfilling life. HEART—Act with integrity and accountability, and help others become their best. HANDS—Put the needs of the community before those of themselves, and serve o

thers. HEALTH—Actively take care of their minds and bodies. Comments, links, photos, and videos are welcome on all University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign social media platforms. One of our amazing 4-H volunteers was honored last night at National Night Out. Congratulations, Bea, on receiving the Johnson & Mears Community Service Award. The impact that you have made with the OKO youth is immeasurable!

This year's Johnson & Mears Community Service Award winner - Beatrice Hall!

Grateful to honor her at tonight's 2026 National Night Out - Decatur, IL. Beatrice has led the Old King’s Orchard 4-H club for 30 plus years. She has assisted with numerous activities in the OKO neighborhood for over 30 years, such as distributing food at Old King’s Orchard Community Center and teaching kids about basic cooking skills.

The DeWitt, Macon, Piatt Teen 4-H Council hosted their FIRST talent show at the 4-H Show this past weekend to great success! From solving Rubik's cubes and clarinet solos to dribbling a basketball and card tricks, 4-H members shared their talents on stage!🎤🏀
