Calling all 4-H Chick Chain participants and supporters! Join us tonight for the 4-H Poultry Show & Sale!

🐓 Registration begins at 4:30 PM
🏆 The contest begins at 6:00 PM
🧾 The auction will follow the show!

Support our 4-H’ers by bidding on quality, locally raised laying hens!** These chicks were started back in April and have been raised and cared for by our 4-H members. Now is your chance to take home some great chickens while supporting the hard work of our local youth!

Come out, cheer on our participants, and bid on some hens! 🐔

The Meigs County 4-H Volunteer Leader Group is excited to offer this special quilt in honor of Clare Nell Breeden as a fundraiser supporting the Meigs County 4-H Clare Nell Breeden Scholarship fund! Each ticket is $1, or buy 25 tickets for $20.

The recipient of the quilt will be announced on Saturday, August 29 at 7 PM, and you do not have to be present to receive it!

🎟️ Tickets are available all week at the Meigs County 4-H food booth at the fair.

Thank you to the Ten Mile FCE Club for donating this beautiful handmade quilt in honor of Clare Nell Breeden!

🐓 Plan to attend the 4-H Poultry Show and Sale Wednesday evening. 4-Hers please call 423-334-5781 to reserve a cage for your chickens if you did Chick Chain this year.

🍔 Make sure to stop by the 4-H Food Booth for a yummy meal. This is our biggest fundraising event of the year. 🍀🍀🍀

Registration deadline for the Fairest & Princess of the Fair is tomorrow, August 19th! Drop off your applications to the Meigs Extension Office!

🇺🇸 Go See Meigs County at the Tennessee State Fair! 🇺🇸

The Travel Tennessee exhibits at the Tennessee State Fair in Wilson County are a great way to explore communities from across our state—and Meigs County is proudly represented!

This year’s theme is America 250, celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary and giving visitors a chance to see a little piece of Tennessee history, heritage, and hometown pride.

Be sure to stop by the Meigs County booth and check out all the unique items on display! We are so thankful to everyone who loaned items to help showcase the history and character of our county. ❤️🤍💙
