The Robert Mello Studio Professional level acting classes for the serious minded beginner to working professional. Acting classes in Atlanta and Los Angeles.

The Robert Mello Studio is dedicated to Meisner-based actor training and classes, and serves both the Atlanta and Los Angeles acting communities. Classes offer you a technique for crafting film, television and stage performances that are:

THIS ISN'T YOUR PARENT'S MEISNER TECHNIQUE. Sanford Meisner created a brilliant technique - for his time. This is updated, faster and works off of who actors are today, not the 1950's and 1960's. Robert's teaching style is compassionate, straight-forward and filled with joy and humor. Teaching is Robert's greatest passion.

A GIGANTIC shout-out to Theatrical Outfit and their heart-wrenching and oh-so-wonderful production of Fences by August Wilson. 
 
The best part? About 31 of my students were there as well, and we were all treated to a masterclass in acting. Seeing so many of them moved and inspired made my heart sing. Sharing in some theatre simply does something that film can’t quite do-and that I can’t quite describe.  
 
For actors: it can help you get to those film and television dreams in ways that acting ONLY in film and TV can’t.  
 
So do it. Feel the fear and do it anyway.  
 
Even just AUDITIONING for theatre will make you better-especially the in-person auditions.

You do need to be willing to work. 
 
Including on the days when you’re not feeling particularly brilliant.
