CONGRATULATIONS to Noah for winning FIRST place in region one out of 320 participants in the Arkansas Stock Market Game! 🥇Over 4,000 students participated statewide! Students are given $100,000 play money to invest in the stock market. It is a real time simulation that updates daily so that they can make investment decisions. He made over $15,000 in only 3 months! He was honored today in Little Rock at the Clinton Presedential Museum! So proud of Noah! He represented our district well!

Today, three of our GT MS students competed in a communication competition called the Amazing Shake at Heritage High in Rogers. The competition emphasizes that, while intellectual ability is crucial, the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively is essential for success, often helping students gain confidence and overcome shyness. They had to introduce themselves, and shake over 40 hands while holding between 40 and 50 different conversations! I am genuinely so proud of their efforts and how well they represented themselves and Decatur! It took a lot of courage to participate in something so big!

Decatur Elementary STEAM Night! Great turnout with lots of inquisitive minds! We had 3 D pens, coding bots, circuits, math pattern activities, sticky sculptures, engineering, drones, moon painting, fossil making, and so much more!

The Amazeum came to work with our GT students. They had to build, test, problem solve, and communicate to make a chain reaction! They did a fantastic job for only having 40 minutes! Some students were able to check out Mrs. Boeving’s snake and Mrs. Frydrychowski’s bearded dragon! Facebook will only let me post one video at a time so there will be several posts!

K-2 project
Cornucopia-symbol for plenty. We made classroom cornucopias using playdough. They had so much fun being creative filling the cornucopia with plenty of food!
