Ally Belle played an important role in launching First Priority at her school, helping recruit Student Leaders, organize meetings, and encourage her team throughout the year. Her willingness to step out in faith helped create a place where more students could hear about Jesus.

This week we celebrate an eight year anniversary and a bittersweet anticipation for what is to come, as our dear friend and Ministry Director for Lawrence County Schools, Clint Wortham, is beginning a new journey.

For the past eight years, Clint has poured his heart into this ministry, into our schools, and into students. He has faithfully shown up, built relationships, shared the Gospel, encouraged volunteers, and made an eternal investment in the lives of countless students. We will miss having Clint on our team, but we are excited to see where God leads him in this next chapter!

Please join us in celebrating Clint and honoring his eight years with First Priority at a Farewell Reception on Thursday, August 27th, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM at the First Priority office.

Come by, grab some refreshments, share a memory, and help us send Clint into this next journey knowing just how loved and appreciated he is!

It's back-to-school season! A new school year means a new mission field.

As students across our communities head back to school, we’re praying - for their safety, their teachers, their friendships, their decisions, and most of all, that they would know the hope of Jesus. 🙏

Every hallway. Every classroom. Every lunch table. Every student.

Our mission is to take the hope of Christ to every student. And we believe God has placed students and volunteers in schools for such a time as this.

Last night, believers from churches across Morgan, Lawrence, and Cullman Counties gathered on school campuses to do what Scripture calls us to do: pray.

Every school. Every central office. Every community.

We prayed for students, teachers, administrators, support staff, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, custodians, coaches, and every person who will walk through those doors this school year. We prayed for protection, wisdom, unity, salvation, and that the name of Jesus would be lifted high on every campus.

To every person who took time out of your evening to stand in the gap for the next generation - thank you. Your prayers matter more than you know.

As this new school year begins, let’s continue to faithfully pray for our schools all year long. We can’t wait to see what God will do.
