Precision Measurement is a vital skill for all manufacturing. Today’s metrology lab is providing extra practice for students to use vernier and dial calipers, OD and Depth micrometers and the ruler to take measurements in both the imperial and metric systems. Students are also analyzing the data collected to determine fallacy in measurement.

Manufacturing Processes Class Richland Community College

Students are learning about metal fabrication methods in class this week. They read a print to measure, mark, and layout a piece of sheet metal. 22 students, 1 alumni, and 4 faculty of the Eng. Tech. Dept at Richland Community College went up to yesterday. Students participated in the Knights Challenge IMTS scavenger hunt where Gubbin’s brigade took on Curry’s brigade for total Manufacturing Technology domination. A lot of swag was picked up and students were amazed by everything they saw and experienced.
