Behind the scenes at Kaiwa's awesome Drawing & Painting Camp last week!! We had an INCREDIBLE start to Summer and can't wait for all the fun of camps!! Thank you to all the families who joined us!! 😍

Last week's Drawing & Painting Camp was the best yet!! The children created the most amazing art throughout the week in a wide variety of media, including acrylic paint, watercolor, charcoal, dip pen & ink, oil & chalk pastels, paint markers, & more! They learned about a variety of artists & practiced new techniques. We put on an EPIC art show at the end of the week and the children were SO proud!! AMAZING work, students!! 😍🎨 We are so excited for all the creativity & fun this Summer!!

The last week of classes at Kaiwa was sweet! The students painted amazing sweets and watermelon inspired by artist Wayne Thiebauld!

The students made so many creative and beautiful shadow boxes the last few weeks of classes at Kaiwa! I love seeing the kids' incredible creativity as they explore materials with wonder and joy. These were inspired by the artist Joseph Cornell and his dream boxes :)

We had the sweetest time ever at the Winnie the Pooh party today! Thank you SO much to everyone who came out! We made the coolest beehives, honey pots, tree round art, and HONEY SLIME!! We had lots of yummy yellow and orange snacks and treats, a pin the tail on Eeyore game, and gorgeous backdrops and big character cutouts. "Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart." Winnie the Pooh 🐝🌼🤗❤️🥳

We can't wait to celebrate with you all this Friday from 2-5pm for the "sweetest" party of the Summer!! We are celebrating 100 years of A.A. Milne's 100 Acre Wood at the studio with amazing crafts (old-fashioned rope beehives, "HUNNY" flower pots, art on tree rounds, & more!!), honey SLIME, sweet treats, honey sticks, & more! Pose with beautiful backdrops! Play pin the tail on Eeyore! Step into our wood and celebrate the "Best Bear in the Whole World" with us!! $10/child with $5 for each additional child (no drop off). We can't wait to see you!!

This was one of my FAVORITE pottery projects we have done at the studio! The children designed, built, & glazed hand-drawn boxes shaped from their imagination! They were up to the challenge to form the walls and cut matching lids. Everyone was so proud of the results! SO creative & fun!!
