🧪🥤 This week, Mrs. Guy's scientists investigated solids, liquids, and gases in a fun and delicious way! They made Sprite and sherbet floats while observing how the solid sherbet and liquid Sprite interacted to create bubbles and fizz (gas)! The students loved getting hands-on with science and seeing these three states of matter in action. Who knew science could be so sweet?! 🍨✨

🍲📚 Today, Mrs. Guy's second-grade class brought reading and writing to life with Bone Soup! We explored important story elements, including character, setting, problem, solution, and central idea. After discussing the story, students practiced retelling it in their own words by writing a summary that included the most important events. To wrap up our learning, we worked together to make and enjoy our very own bone soup! 🥣 It was a fun, hands-on way to connect literacy, comprehension, and teamwork while bringing the story to life! ❤️📖
