This is not easy for us to say, but we have some difficult news to share—Spirit Walkers Child Care will be closing, with our final day on May 28, 2026.
This has not been an easy decision, and it comes following a change in church leadership, with the building space being used for other purposes.
More than anything, we just want to say thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your children, for sharing them with us, and for allowing us to be part of such a special season in their lives. Watching them grow, learn, laugh, and feel loved has meant more to us than we can truly put into words.
Spirit Walkers has always been so much more than a place—it’s been a little family. And that’s what makes this so hard.
We know this may bring uncertainty, and we are here for you in any way we can during this transition. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all.
We will carry these memories with us always. Your children—and your families—have left a lasting mark on our hearts 🤍

We had the best time hunting Easter eggs (even if we did have to do it inside), and learning about the love of Jesus this week! 💗
We are so blessed to be able to teach these little ones and watch them grow!

Preregistration for Alabamas First Class PreK program opens TOMORROW.
This is a wonderful program to get your little one ready for Kindergarten. All children who are 4 years old on or before September 1st, 2026 are eligible. We LOVE all our little friends at Spirit Walkers Child Care and we do welcome our four year olds to stay with us until they start Kindergarten. However, this is a wonderful opportunity for them that we would be selfish not to encourage. Please follow the link below for more info or talk to any of our teachers!

Our PreK class read "Harold and the Purple Crayon" today. Then they all used Purple Crayons to create a magical place of their own! 🟪🖍🪄

Big thanks to the the wonderful Pine Level Fire Department for coming out to see us today. They talked to our little friends about fire safety and showed off the firetruck! What a fun and educational time!
