Celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month at the Mardigian Library! Discover books and stories that honor culture, identity, and community throughout May 2026.

Come stop by the Mardigian Library to pick up a packet of "Pacific Beauty" Calendula seeds (while supplies last)! As part of the "One Seed, One State initiative," participating libraries across the state of Michigan--including the Mardigian Library--are distributing these seeds, which are ready to be sown directly in the soil for a beautiful display of orange and yellow flowers that can also be used as a medicinal herb that can be made into tea or a healing salve.

It's officially May 1st, and final exams are behind us. It's time to get a head start on your summer reading! Did you know that the Mardigian Library offers lots of recreational eBooks and audiobooks on the Libby platform, and that you can stack your umich card with your public library card(s) to easily check out eBooks and audiobooks even if you're traveling? Just download the Libby app on your mobile device (you can easily load books onto your eReader, too), search for University of Michigan, and sign in with your umich credentials.
