Come out and celebrate the accomplishments of the Black Student Union and several of our members, UM-D faculty and staff and welcome the 2015-2016 Executive Board! Please see the flyer for more details!

The Black Student Union won the award for Outstanding Service to the Community for the BSU Big Brother / Big Sister Program and we also won the award for Outstanding Student Organization! We want to give a huge thank you to those who nominated us for both awards and a special thank you to the Office for Student Engagement!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Thursday's (April 9th) General Body Meeting is canceled! We will post updates on the next meeting sometime this week! Stay tuned!

The unity shown in this photo is the exact image that needs to be seen in this country. BSU fully supports the efforts of these organizations and we stand with them in solidarity. These organizations and unions were created to give African-American college students an opportunity to safely convene with each other and have a place to feel welcome, respected, appreciated and wanted. It is within these organizations and unions that some of us have met people who will be in our lives for the rest of our days. BSUs around the country, through generations, have taken a stance against racism at universities and we will continue to uplift and support African and African-American initiatives; both on our campus and in our respective communities!

University of Michigan-Dearborn Scholarships - Laura & Erica's Scholarship to Inspire Greatness The purpose of this scholarship is to provide support for UM-Dearborn students who have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and are in the African & African-American Studies program.
