Here is to another AMA bonding event! :)

After kicking off the summer with our AMA BBQ, it was great bringing everyone together again, this time around the bonfire. Between the s’mores, conversations, and plenty of laughs, it was another reminder that AMA is about so much more than just meetings and professional development.

One of my favorite parts of these events is seeing returning members reconnect while new members feel welcomed from day one. It’s always great watching strangers become friends. Nights like these are what make our organization feel like a community.

As summer begins to wind down, we’re looking forward to one more outing before officially kicking off the Fall 2026 semester. If this summer has taught us anything, it’s that the best memories are made when we’re together. 💙💛

☀️ Our First Annual AMA Summer BBQ was a success! ☀️

This weekend, 13 AMA members came together for an afternoon filled with great food, games, laughter, and even better company.

One of the biggest challenges for any student organization is not only getting people to attend in-school events, but also bringing people together outside of the classroom. That’s exactly why we wanted to jumpstart our annual AMA BBQ. It gives everyone the chance to slow down, strengthen friendships, make new memories, and simply enjoy the summer together.

From grilling halal burgers and hot dogs (shoutout to our President, Justin Maldonado, for tackling the grill for the first time!) to playing frisbee, soccer, co****le, Connect 4, Uno, Trouble, and more, there was never a dull moment. Even better, this event was truly a team effort, members contributed food, drinks, games, and supplies to help make the day possible.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and helped make our first annual BBQ such a memorable one. We can’t wait to make this an AMA tradition.
