Hello DHS Class of 75'ers!

I had a request from classmate Barb (Nieman) Kaye. She is interested in making a quilt for the 50 Year Reunion Silent Auction in August using old DHS era tee-shirts. If anyone would like to donate their old tee-shirt(s), she would love to make a quilt with them. She has a couple ideas, depending on how many shirts she receives. You may contact Barb through the DHS website or through Facebook Messenger if you would like to donate.

Please remember, making a quilt does take time and effort so the sooner she receives the tee-shirts, the less stress she'll have in completing it on time.

Thanks everyone!

Diane

Howe-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Dearborn Location

Robert Alan Knoop Jr
( July 4, 1957 - November 2, 2024 )

Robert Alan Knoop Jr (Bob), of Linden, MI, was born July 4th, 1957 to Robert & Joyce (nee Woolsey) Knoop in Dearborn, MI.

He passed on November 2nd 2024 at Corewell Hospital in Dearborn. Bob was a graduate of Dearborn High School, Jackson Community College and Northwood University. After graduation Bob obtained his realtors license and began selling properties along with guiding hunting and fishing expeditions around the world. He co-owned In Season Adventures. He also coached baseball for several high schools including St. Hedwig, whom he coached to a Catholic League Championship and coached Jackson Community College to a state title. He also was a Major League Scout for the Kansas City Royals.

Bob married the love of his life, Ann ImOberstag, on January 15, 1983 also in Dearborn. Together, they had two children: Chelsea and RJ. Bob immensely enjoyed traveling this country watching his two kids play baseball, hockey, dance, and show horses. After semi-retirement, Bob's true calling, philanthropy, took center stage. He was a founding member of the PATH foundation, aimed at bringing those less fortunate out into the wilderness and learning the beauty of conservation. He also helped found the Megan's Dreams foundation which gave scholarships to Michigan State University veterinarian students, in memory of his high school classmate. Bob spent as much time as possible in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and teaching the younger generations to do the same. If he wasn't outside, you would find him playing card games, mainly cribbage, with his family or others he considered to be "his kids".

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Alan Knoop, and his in laws, Irving and Frances (Bryant) ImOberstag. He is survived by his mother Joyce Knoop, his wife, Ann (ImOberstag), daughter Chelsea Knoop Harper (Jeremy), son Robert James Knoop (Savannah), Grandchildren, Payne Harper, Chloe Harper, Quinn Harper, and Hattie Knoop, sister Nance (Knoop) Clark, along with a long list of sister and brother in laws, nieces, and nephews. A Celebration of Life will happen sometime in December, and more information will follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the PATH foundation in Bob's name, 9468 N. Eston Rd., Clarkston, MI 48348 or

Services are tentative please check back for updates.

passingalongtheheritage.com Passing Along The Heritage Foundation (PATH) was formed by a group of individuals who have a passion for passing along the fishing and hunting heritage to today’s youth and other individuals who have limited access to the outdoors due to an illness or physical limitation.

Hey 75'ers. Hope the summer is treating you all well. In case you don't know, a different private website has been established just for our class. It's been set up so only our classmates may access it - thus no intruders who only wish they had been in our class! Please check it out and all who have signed up by August 1 will have their name put into a drawing for a Veho ultra-compact, portable Bluetooth 5.0 wireless speaker in vibrant orange.

Take a look at www.dearbornhigh1975.com and come join the 322 DHS '75 classmates who already have.

Received information that Jane passed on July 9, 2024. Jane's own post on July 3 stated that while fighting so vigilantly to keep the cancer at bay, several forms had returned and had progressed into her right upper limb, liver and brain. Her ashes were spread at her home, per her request, by her husband Dale.

I knew Jane from our times at Lindbergh elementary, Adams junior high and Dearborn High. We also were tent mates at Dearborn Youth Camp and she always mentioned this in her correspondence with me (being happy campers!). She was a very genuine person and heaven gained a remarkable person who was already an angel on earth. Rest in peace Jane.

Hello DHS '75ers. I have been receiving Messenger messages from classmates who are receiving random messages from unknown people trying to sell or promote things on this DHS site. I've attempted to block these people from this site but they are very determined to remain or have work arounds to stay troublemakers!

As a new DHS '75 website has been created, I'm getting to the point of canceling this DHS '75 page (the one with the 8 track tape player photo) to hopefully end this nonsense. There is actually another DHS '75 page so one will still remain. If anyone has any thoughts or concerns on my canceling this FB page, please let me know.

If you are a DHS '75 classmate and haven't logged into our new website, please visit www.dearbornhigh1975.com and join the rest of us who already have! It's a private website (you won't have to deal with scoundrels who have ill intentions) and it will be the primary way for me to communicate with classmates for the 50 year reunion (wow!) coming up in August, 2025.

Best regards everyone!
Diane

Hello DHS Class of 1975! I'm reaching out to let all 75'ers know that our new class website was rolled out in October 2022! The importance of this is that not only is it completely private but many members of the class are not on FB, so trying to keep all informed of reunion activities is challenging.

This website has photos and information on all classmates, former teachers and provides much more, even contests to win neat stuff! So, come check it out and add your own photos to the ones already there. Currently, more than 150 classmates have already joined. So if you haven't, check it out! The website is https://www.DearbornHigh1975.com

Additionally, if you were a member of the class at some point but didn't quite make it to the graduation finish line, let me know and I can add you in as a guest member.

Best regards,
Diane H.

On Sunday, December 11, 2022, Kathleen Ann Senczyszyn passed away unexpectedly at the age of sixty-five. She is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Fred. She leaves behind her daughter Karin (Ben) Sanchez , and her sons Fred (Alyssa) Senczyszyn and Zachary (Wynston) Senczyszyn. She was the loving grandmother to Freddie and Jacob Senczyszyn.

Kathy is also survived by her father, William Owens Sr., and her siblings Cindy, Suzan, Carol and Mark. Her mother, Margaret Owens and brother William Owens, Jr. welcome Kathy to the heavenly abode.

Kathy was a proud member of Sing-Out Dearborn and graduated from Dearborn High School in 1975. Two years later she collected an Associate Degree in Accounting from Henry Ford Community College.

While raising her children and working in the home, Kathy was a longtime president of the PTA at St. Sebastian school where she was an avid volunteer. Additionally, she worked for eight years in administration for the City of Dearborn Housing Department.

Kathy’s true joy in life came from spending time with her family and maintaining close friendships. In retirement she enjoyed time on her boat, aptly named the Lucky Lady. She took delight in camping, tending her garden, and doting on her grandsons.

Kathy’s warm smile and kind-hearted, genuine nature will be missed greatly by all the lives she has touched over the years.

Kathleen's funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16th at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. Dearborn, 48124. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-9 p.m. Interment St. Hedwig Cemetery. The family has prepared a luncheon to follow the services. Please leave an online condolence to comfort the family.
