EHRA (Environmental Health Research-to-Action), which is made up of several local organizations, youth and several UM-Dearborn faculty. They have this useful tool related to air quality on their site. This was todays air quality reading. The University of Michigan-Dearborn will be hosting the upcoming binational Stait of the Strait Conference. This important event will be focused on the health of the Detroit River, with a focus this year on contaminated sediment remediation.

Life behind and beyond the prison wall For 15 years, the Inside Out Prison Exchange program has encouraged UM-Dearborn students to think about crime and punishment mechanisms in human terms.

OMI is instrumental in the youth work of SEMI Wild and Micah Blake-Smith played a big part in that work over the last year
Creating pathways to nature The Office of Metropolitan Impact is instrumental in organizing SEMI Wild and its career and education pathway program that connects underrepresented youth to organizations like UM-Dearborn, the Detroit Zoological Society, Belle Isle Nature Center and others.

Tree planting event! Volunteers are needed November 3rd for a tree planting event at the Marathon raised garden beds in Detroit (48217). Meet behind the Citgo station in Oakwood Heights, Gail/Bayside/Dumfries streets. Holes will be pre-dug.
Volunteers are also needed to lay mulch at the Fort Street Bridge Park on November 3rd.
