Our 5th graders explored a big question: How can we make water healthy for all living things? 💧🌎
They took their learning outside the classroom during the “Trip of a Drip” program at the University of Michigan–Dearborn, where they learned about the Rouge River watershed and how our actions impact water.
They also learned about Mari Copeny (Little Miss Flint) and how she spoke up to bring awareness to the Flint water crisis.
To wrap it up, students designed and tested their own water filters, putting their learning into action!
