Hi everyone!

Thank you for joining Halloween event with us last Friday! We had lots of fun together. There will be a separated post for the videos of experiments!

We would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Smith who guided us from the preparation until the end of this event. We are thankful for all supports that we got from the Director of Laboratories, Soon, and EHS, and all Professors, and all students.

Field Trip to Idemitsu R&D Lab with Chemistry Club !!🥳🥳

Time: 9:00 am to 11:30 am on Friday, November 4th, 2022
Location: 48325 Alpha Dr, Unit 200, Wixom, MI 48393

Lab attire : long pants, closed-toe shoes. I will provide safety glasses if you need one.

Idemitsu Lubricants America (ILA) is a member of the Idemitsu group, one of the top ten automotive lubricant manufacturers globally. This R&D Center is located in Wixom, Michigan. During this field trip, you will hear about different career paths in the industry and see a lot of instruments that are crucial for the Research and Development lab.

🗂Second General Meeting (Thursday, 10/13) at 2:00 pm in the Chem Lounge (NSB, 2nd floor)
👩‍🔬Chemistry Speaker for Natural Sciences Colloquium (Friday, 10/21) at 3:00 pm
🎃Chemistry with Pumpkin (Friday 10/28) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at UC Patio (next to the big rock) In this event, we will carve pumpkins together, then we will do chemistry experiments with them such as Puking Pumpkins, Rainbow flame Pumpkins, and Exploding Pumpkins. At the same time, there will be a Costume Contest happening, plus donuts and cider will be served. The activities will be outdoors, so please dress warmly.
