When Alison Tasich steps back and lets students teach each other through hands-on exploration, breakthrough moments happen. Her approach to lab design at Crestwood High School shows what's possible when educators trust the learning process and create space for genuine discovery. This is the kind of thoughtful teaching that makes our district stronger.

In total, Ali accounted for an incredible 588 yards and five touchdowns, setting a new KLAA and Crestwood record!

Count Day is TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 7th!

Count Day plays an important role in determining funding for our schools, and accurate student attendance helps ensure Crestwood School District receives the resources needed to support our students, staff, programs, and services.

Please make every effort to have your child at school and on time on October 7th, unless they are not feeling well. Thank you to our Crestwood families for helping make Count Day count!

When students are given the chance to see themselves in a text, they rise to meet even the most demanding material. Kristi Smith, one of our talented teachers at Crestwood High School, watched this unfold firsthand when her 11th graders connected their own experiences of place with Thoreau's Walden. Her work reminds us that deep reading and self-reflection aren't separate goals, and that classic literature becomes most powerful when students can see themselves within it.
