The DeQueen High School

The DeQueen High School De Queen High School is located in SW Arkansas and has over 550 students in grades 10-12.

🍎 Future educators in the making!

Eighty-nine De Queen High School Pre-Educator students celebrated their Teacher Reveal Day and learned which teacher they’ll be working alongside this school year!

Students have been placed with teachers at De Queen Primary, Elementary, and Middle School, where they’ll gain hands-on experience in the classroom while completing internship hours as part of the Pre-Educator program.

We’re excited to see these students learn from some of the best, our own Leopard educators! A special thank you to Jordan McMellon and all of our teachers who are helping inspire the next generation of educators. 🖤💛

Investing in Their Future!

Thanks to the De Queen Board of Education, every DHS sophomore will receive a voucher to take one national ACT test at no cost to the student. This $13,725 investment gives our students an important opportunity to gain testing experience, identify areas for growth, and work toward scores that can open doors to college admission and scholarships.

Counselors will help students register during the first month of school. We encourage each sophomore and their family to review the available ACT dates carefully and select the date that works best with the student’s schedule. Once registered, students should prepare, arrive ready, and make the most of this valuable opportunity!

🏠✨ There’s No Place Like “Home”coming! ✨🏠

De Queen High School is excited to introduce our 2026 Homecoming Court! 👑🖤💛 Congratulations to 2026 DHS Homecoming Queen Evelyn Ponce and this year’s Homecoming maids!

Homecoming Week is September 14–18, and this year we’re especially excited to bring back a longtime DHS tradition, HALL WARS! 🎨🏆

Instead of building class parade floats, students will bring their creativity and school spirit inside the halls of DHS as each class competes in Hall Wars! We’re excited to bring back a tradition many of our alumni will remember, while also creating a Homecoming activity that won’t depend on the Arkansas weather! ☀️🌧️

And don’t worry, the Homecoming Court Parade is still happening! 👑

📅 Friday, September 18
• 2:00 PM: Homecoming Court Parade around the courthouse square
• 2:15 PM: Parade continues down School Drive
• 2:30 PM: Afternoon Coronation at the DHS Coliseum, followed by the pep rally
• 7:00 PM: Evening Homecoming Ceremony at Leopard Stadium
• 7:30 PM: Leopards vs. Ashdown Panthers 🏈

Mrs. Rosa’s Level 2 Software Development students are starting from the ground up!

Students built their own Ethernet cables by arranging the twisted-pair wires, attaching RJ45 connectors, and crimping them into place. These cables will be used to connect their computers and build their wired network!
