🎠About the ShowđźŽ
The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by the end of the show. A feast of family fun and unforgettable music will help you start the summer (June 15-17 performances) with a bang!
ℹ️ Audition Information ℹ️
Prepare 32 bars of a song that features the best aspects of your voice. Dress comfortably for a movement audition that will include learning a short dance routine. Directors will email singers if you are wanted for a callback (Sunday, Mar 26). You may be cast in the show even if you are not asked to a callback.
Those who wish to be considered for dance-only casting will be asked to perform an additional dance audition.
We are also interested in hearing existing barbershop quartets. Prepare Lida Rose from the show, or a similar selection of your choice!
