DeLand-Weldon CUSD #57 The official page of DeLand-Weldon CUSD #57. The existing High School facility began serving the communities in 1948,

The DeLand-Weldon Unit School District was formed by a majority vote of both communities during the latter part of 1947. The new district was to replace the DeLand High School District, the Nixon Township High School District, one rural school in the DeLand area, and four rural districts in the Weldon area.

Congratulations to Addison Roos and Karlee Fenton on their All-Conference selections in softball! We are proud of you!

Congratulations to our All-Conference athletes! We are incredibly proud to have three Blue Ridge softball players recognized by the Lincoln Prairie Conference this season.

Addison Roos earned 1st Team All-Conference honors, Olivia Jones was selected to the 2nd Team All-Conference, and Karlee Fenton received All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition.

With 38 athletes nominated for just 22 all-conference team positions, this is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and competitiveness these athletes showed throughout the season.

Congratulations, ladies, and thank you for representing Blue Ridge softball with pride!

The Pirates of Pitch Goes Solar wrapped up two fantastic days at the 2026 KidWind Worlds competition at the University of Wisconsin–Madison! ☀️⚡

The team impressed judges with their creativity, teamwork, and solar beach home design, successfully completing presentations, reports, demonstrations, and both instant challenges. We’re proud of all their hard work and accomplishments!

Tonight we’re exploring Madison and celebrating with dinner by the lake before tomorrow’s awards ceremony. Thank you to everyone who supported this incredible experience for our students! 🌎💙

⚡🏖️ Good luck to “The Pirates of Pitch Goes Solar” as they compete this week at the 2026 KidWind Worlds Competition at the University of Wisconsin! 🌎☀️

Today our 8th grade team will put their renewable energy knowledge to the test as they compete in a Renewable Energy Instant Challenge, complete a Renewable Energy Content Test, and present their Solar Beach Home design to a panel of judges.

We are so proud of all of their hard work, creativity, teamwork, and dedication throughout this journey. Even Bucky the Badger stopped by to wish them good luck! 🦡⚡
