This week, we held our first Chapel of the year, and what a meaningful way to begin. ๐
Members of our worship team led us in music under the direction of Chris Gully, who serves our students not only in ministry, but also as a teacher and coach here at KA. Our students and teachers did an outstanding job leading worship together.
Matt Farmer, who also serves as both a minister and teacher, delivered this weekโs message on leadership. He reminded our students that whether we realize it or not, people are always watching the example we set. Leadership isnโt something that begins when you reach a certain age or earn a certain titleโit starts in the choices we make every day. It is never too early to lead by example.
We are so thankful our students had the opportunity to hear this message and begin the year with such an important reminder. ๐
And maybe the best part came before Chapel even began. As our teachers were preparing, they looked around and saw students setting up chairs and getting the room readyโwithout anyone asking them to help. They simply saw something that needed to be done, got up, and started helping one another.
After a Chapel centered around leadership, it felt especially fitting to see our students already putting it into action. It was a simple moment, but one that spoke volumes about their character and the family we have here at Kemper Academy. ๐
