Urgent: Immunization and Waiver Compliance Deadlines – September 1 and September 7
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please review this important notice regarding Ohio immunization compliance for the upcoming school year.
Compliance Deadlines
Grades 1–12: Tuesday, September 1, at 8:00 AM
Kindergarten: Girls: Monday, September 7, at 8:00 AM
These requirements apply to all students, with additional immunization requirements for incoming 7th- and 12th-grade students and students utilizing annual immunization waivers. Notifications were mailed home in April and in May to prepare for the start of the school year.
If your student’s immunization records are incomplete, you will receive a delinquency notification by email.
Key Requirements
Immunization Registry: Compliance is tracked through the Ohio Statewide Immunization Registry (ImpactSIIS).
Record Discrepancies: If you receive a delinquency notice but your student is compliant, you must provide an official immunization record from the student’s healthcare provider.
Annual Waivers: Immunization waivers do not carry over from one school year to the next. A new waiver must be signed and submitted before the start of each school year.
Enforcement Policy
In accordance with Ohio law, students who are not compliant by the applicable deadline will be excluded from school.
Students without updated immunization records or a properly submitted waiver will be sent home.
Students may not return to school until the required documentation has been received and verified.
Important: Absences resulting from immunization non-compliance will be recorded as unexcused absences and will count toward tracked attendance hours.
