Welcome Back!
It is hard to say goodbye to summer, but we are so excited to start a new school year!

When you come to Windsor Elementary School for your Great Start Conference this week, be sure to check your student’s cubby. We’ve placed a special swag bag inside for every child, filled with fun items and special offers from some of our generous Norski Fun Run sponsors!

What is the Norski Fun Run?
The Norski Fun Run is an opportunity for every student to show their school spirit and work on their physical fitness. Each student will have 20 minutes to run or walk laps with their classmates at school.

This is Windsor Elementary School’s ONLY fundraiser. The funds raised directly contribute to field trip transportation, book fair set-up, celebrations throughout the year, family events, teacher appreciation, teacher start up, and so much more!

This year the Norski Fun Run will be held on Friday, September 18th. Look for more details and volunteer sign-ups coming home the first week of school!

This week is designated for our DASD K8 PTO Swag Bag Stuffing, Aug 11-13! We would love any assistance you, your families, or high schoolers can offfer. Please share and sign up for a time to help stuff the swag bags. Please note that the times and shifts are suggestions, if more are available or you only have an hour to give, all help is welcome. Many hands make light work.

Are you looking for a meaningful way to support our amazing school, connect with other parents, and make a direct impact? The Windsor Elementary PTO is looking for enthusiastic leaders to join our team for the upcoming school year!

We are currently looking to fill three vital roles:

🌟 Vice President
Partner with our president, help guide our overall PTO initiatives, and step in to lead meetings when needed. This is a fantastic role for someone who loves big-picture planning and community building!

🎉 Celebrations Committee Chair
Help coordinate fun, memorable events and milestones for our students throughout the year.

🍎 Teacher & Staff Appreciation Committee Co-Chair
Help organize ways to shower our incredible Windsor teachers and staff with the love and gratitude they deserve.

The best part? You won’t be doing it alone! ❤️
As a committee chair, your main role is to help coordinate events and keep the big picture in mind. There are detailed notes from past years to guide you, plus you will have a fantastic, dedicated team of volunteers ready to step up, share the workload, and execute the details. You supply the organization; our school community supplies the hands!

Whether you are a seasoned volunteer or looking to step into a leadership role for the first time, we would love to have your unique perspective and energy.

We're still thinking about last week's lunch! 😋🔥

Last Monday our staff was treated to a mouth-watering end-of-the-year lunch, all thanks to the amazing folks at Wisco Real Estate Services! They generously donated a full BBQ spread to celebrate our hardworking team, and it’s safe to say we all left happy (and very full).

Tonight is the night! We are so excited to welcome our current 4K students and their families into the building tonight to tour the school.

Walking into your future classroom is a massive milestone, and we are rolling out the red carpet for you! We cannot wait to see those excited smiles and show you around.

Parents, as you take this next big step, know that you are joining an incredibly supportive and active school community. The WPTO is here to make this transition smooth, fun, and memorable for your whole family.
