My heartfelt condolences go out to Phil's family, loved ones, fellow school board members, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. The SAEF Board of Directors joins the Casey Feldman Foundation in paying tribute to Casey Feldman '06 who unfortunately lost her life from a distracted driver while she was walking to her summer job in Ocean City, NJ on this date in 2009.

Please help do your part by not driving distracted.

Seventeen years later, Joel Feldman still remembers the phone call no parent should ever receive.

"Casey was involved in a crash. I'm going to the hospital. Meet me there."

Those were the words his wife spoke after Casey was struck by a distracted driver while walking in a crosswalk.

A few hours later, Casey died from her injuries.

Seventeen years later, Casey's legacy continues through the Casey Feldman Foundation and End Distracted Driving, helping families, students, and communities understand that one moment of distraction can change lives forever.

Today, we remember Casey and recommit ourselves to making our roads safer.

Our friend Ted Kirkpatrick '82 is back with another episode of his YouTube series, Cougar Talk, this time interviewing Tracy Stumpf '82, Ted's classmate Springfield Hall Fame 3 sport athlete in Field Hockey, Basketball and Lacrosse from the class of 1982. Tracy went on the University of Maryland where her team won a national championship and Tracy was an All-American. Tracy was inducted into the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2013 and played internationally with the U.S. world cup team, winning a world championship in 1989. Tracy worked for the FBI for over 30 years.

This year was marks the final year in the career of Sabold Gym Teacher, Mr. Lupoli. He is hanging up his Indy hat and retiring this year! He is known to the students and staff at Sabold as the leader of Super Sabold Day and hosting an Indiana Jones-themed obstacle course.
