It has been an honor and a privilege to serve on the Killingly Board of Education. Due to unforeseen circumstances and increased professional commitments, I have submitted my resignation from the Board effective today. I remain deeply appreciative of the opportunity to have contributed to our schools and community during my tenure.

When I first ran for the Board of Education, it was because I wanted to make a real difference. My priority has always been to ensure that our children are never bullied or disrespected by administrators and that every student has a voice in their education.

Unfortunately, this past year has shown us what happens when politics takes priority over students. Since the Democrats won the election, important information has not been shared equally with the Republican members of the board. Instead, we often learn about major issues through social media rather than through open communication and collaboration. That is unacceptable.

Our schools and our children deserve transparency, respect, and teamwork—not political manipulation. Decisions about education should never be one-sided or secretive.

This November 4th, I encourage every resident of Killingly to go out and vote. Your children are counting on you, and together, we can put the focus back where it belongs—on them.

Bullying in our schools has gotten worse than ever—both from peers and even from teachers—and the decline has been most noticeable since Democrats took over the Board of Education just this past year. The policies and priorities being pushed are failing our children, leaving them more vulnerable, less protected, and without the accountability they deserve.

It’s time for Republicans to step up, be front and center, and bring back leadership that puts students’ safety, respect, and well-being first. Families deserve a school system where discipline is consistent, teachers are held to a high standard, and no child fears walking into the classroom.

❤️🤍💙 GET OUT AND VOTE KILLINGLY NOVEMBER 4th!!! EVERY VOTE COUNTS❤️🤍💙

The public should not be allowed free speech in a school zone because schools are meant to be secure learning environments for children, not open forums for outside individuals. Allowing unrestricted public expression near schools could create safety risks, distractions, and potential exposure of students to inappropriate or harmful messages. Limiting public demonstrations, protests, or unsolicited speech in these areas helps protect students' focus, privacy, and well-being while ensuring that the school can maintain a safe and orderly environment. Ths house is right on the side of KIS middle school, the town tells us its “freedom of speech” , Do better Killingly allowing this inappropriate behavior is a disgrace to the students and parents that will be driving by this in a short couple weeks.
