What an incredible honor!
Last week, Westview Child Care Center had the privilege of welcoming Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz, OEC Commissioner Elena Trueworthy, and members of the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood leadership team for a tour of our program.
Together, we explored our classrooms, visited our indoor Gross Motor space, sang along with our Prekindergarten class, and wrapped up the morning outside enjoying bubbles, our trike path, and the iconic Imagination Castle.
While the teachers and staff Westview Child Care Center curated the visit with kind formality for our guests, the young students approached the moment with joyful innocence: they were purely delighted to encounter new friends, illustrate playground features, and share a few smiles on a sunny afternoon.
As a proud employer-based child care center, we are honored to showcase the impact that high-quality early childhood education has on children, families, and the workforce.
Recognition like this means the world to our team and reaffirms our commitment to providing exceptional care every day.
Thank you to Lieutenant Governor Bysiewicz, Commissioner Trueworthy, and the OEC leadership team for spending the morning with us. And to our incredible early educators, families, and children—thank you for making Westview a place we're so proud to share with our state leaders. 💙
