“Wisdom Calls”

In this video by Pastor/Evangelist Vic Batista of CCA.University indicates that wisdom is personified to highlight its active and personal nature, emphasizing that it "cries out" and seeks to be heard, rather than being a passive concept (5:56-6:17). The speaker points out that Proverbs 8 describes wisdom taking on a "personality" and actively dwelling with prudence, knowledge, and discretion (17:54-18:06). This personification ultimately leads to the idea of wisdom as a "person" who was present with God during creation, a "master craftsman" and daily delight (22:57-23:05). The speaker connects this personified wisdom to Jesus Christ, who is described as the "Word" that became flesh and dwelt among us, embodying wisdom (29:46-29:56).

Biblically, the personification of wisdom as "Lady Wisdom" in the Book of Proverbs serves several key purposes:
• Relatability It transforms an abstract concept into a tangible, relatable guide with a voice and actions.
• Active Invitation Lady Wisdom actively calls out in public places, inviting all people tchoose her path of life and fulfillment over destruction.
• Creator's Partner She is depicted as being with God before creation, involved in establishing order and linking her to God's creative will.
• Foreshadowing Christ In New Testament interpretations, Lady Wisdom is often seen as a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ, who is referred to as the "wisdom of God".
