Pay Rates:

$9.50-$10.50/HR

Hours:

24-30 hours/week after school Monday-Friday

Position Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Assists in planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of activities provided within specific program areas such as Career and Education, Character and Leadership, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, Health and Life Skills and Physical Education.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

Prepare Youth for Success



1. Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes:



· Promote and stimulate program participation

· Register new members and participate in their club orientation process;

· Provide guidance and role modeling to members

· Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members.



SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

High School diploma or GED
Experience in working with children
Knowledge of youth development
Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
Ability to deal with the general public
Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
Valid State Drivers License and clean driving record
Computer literacy including ability to use email, word processing, spreadsheets and internet

Thanksgiving was wonderful!!! We are grateful for all of our students and their families. I hope everyone enjoyed the food that the teachers cooked.

We are truly a community school. Thanks to the Nazarene Church for partnering with us and providing Thanksgiving dinner for our Deland families in need.
Oan: We are looking forward to serving Thanksgiving lunch on Tuesday to our students.

Hurricane Make up days:
There will not be early release on the following dates November 9,16, and 30 as well as December 7 and 14. Last makeup date will be February 20, 2017 which is Presidents Day. Please plan accordingly.
